Financial Information

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high quality treatment that fits your budget! Orthodontic treatment is a great investment in self esteem and good health that should last a lifetime, provided retainers are worn properly. Having a great smile should not be a financial burden, so Hamilton Orthodontics offers a variety of payment plans to accommodate the needs of each patient. For your convenience, our office accepts Visa and MasterCard as well as no interest payment arrangements. We offer discounts for accounts paid in full and for multiple family members. We also set up automatic drafts, and accept payments online through our website. If you have questions or concerns regarding payment, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Insurance

If you have orthodontic insurance please bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you a better estimate of your costs. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, we are happy to work with you and your insurance company to help you receive the maximum benefit possible. As a courtesy to our patients your insurance benefit will be deducted from your total cost at the beginning of treatment. Most insurance policies have a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. Insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. The information we obtain before treatment starts is only an estimate of your orthodontic coverage. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all unpaid charges.

Tax Savings

Did someone mention a tax savings for braces?

Your company may have a plan that can significantly reduce the cost of braces and other medical expenses. By using a Flexible Spending Account (also referred to as Money Plus, 125(k), Flex Account, Medical Spending Account or Health Savings Account) to pay for braces, you can pay out-of-pocket expenses (orthodontic fee minus insurance payments) using pre-taxed income. For the average two income family earning more than $50,000, the savings amount is about 35% of each dollar earned.

If you have such a plan at work, or if you aren’t sure, you should contact your Human Resources or Personnel Department for details. We will be happy to provide you with receipts for your payments or with any other information your company requires, however; we are in no way affiliated with these plans, and details on how to best utilize your specific plan should be determined by you and your benefits specialist.
